Anthriscus

Anthriscus sylvestris ‘Ravenswing’

‘Ravenswing’, as the name suggests, is a gloriously dark foliaged perennial. Topped with long stems of lacy white umbels of flowers, it is a lovely contrast to the dark foliage. It forms a mound to about 20cms but self seeds itself around in a non annoying way.

We have it growing in our Side Pond Garden and the South Garden, where it gets a bit of moisture, though they have a reputation for being quite hardy.

Anthriscus sylvestris ‘Golden Fleece’

Basically the same as above but with the gorgeous golden (‘aurea’) foliage.

We have this in our Side Pond Garden, where it has self seeded to create a small community. It certainly lights up a dark garden area.
