Cornus ‘Cherokee Chief’

‘Cherokee Chief’ is a gorgeous conical, deciduous tree bearing dark green leaves, flushed red when young and turning reddish-purple in autumn. Clusters of small, green flowers surrounded by four large, deep reddish-pink bracts bloom in late spring. And if that isn’t enough the flowers are followed by bright red fruit, which the birds love.
